Finding Fashion Online And A Better You

Collaborative Post

In our swirling world of e-commerce indulgence, it’s very easy to get carried away and click happy, adding item after item to our ever-growing basket. We can get just about anything online, but fashion seems to be what excites us the most. I am undoubtedly always ready to click on clothing, judging on how good it looks on the model and not myself, guessing haphazardly the sizing and hoping for the best. This is exactly the same when it comes to shoes. There are a plethora of online shopping platforms in the world and in Europe and America you may find different boutiques. Don’t get caught up however with the sizing as they can differ and be sure to look at a size chart. Sometimes e-commerce can beat the high street and there’s nothing more to be said; however what type of things can help us improve the way we look and feel?

Finding Your Style

Remember that just because the clothes look good on the model, they may not necessarily look great on you. Try to look at the colours stated in the description and not how the colour looks on the model. For example, the colour may be powder blue, but may show up a little starker than a pastel may usually look, so be sure to get the idea of colour from the description. Secondly, look at the sizing of the clothing properly also. Every body shape is different, so if you look at a model, she may have slightly longer or shorter legs, so that dress you think will look super cute with knee high boots, may end up being that little bit too long for them! Always look at the measurements, so the key point is, read well and then decide!

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

Looking at shoes can be the most daunting thing ever. It isn’t just the worry and fear of the shoe not being a good fit, too tight, too small or too pinchy, but there is also the worry of not ordering the correct sizing, especially if the site is out of the UK. We can be baffled by conversion sizes, and never too sure if we are ordering the correct size. If you need any help, you can refer to a size chart, which lists not just two countries, but 11 different countries, covering pretty much everything you will ever need for the exciting and crazy world of e-commerce! Bookmark and share it, to ensure that you know exactly what you’re buying, the next time you eye up a lovely pair of black shiny boots, or perhaps those perfect dazzling pair of stilettos for those cocktail evenings!

Know Your Limits

A lot of people can spend a small fortune online and it’s easy for things to add up. A little trick I have is to not purchase more than one of the same thing. For example, you pick up one jacket, one pair of jeans, one kimono, and this way, you have more variation and find that you can style things together much better. Pick out an entire outfit if you wish, you feel that it makes my money go further and you also get a better collection. Be sure to also follow the sale items on the online shops. Sign up for updates if they exist, and look at picking up a few added extras in the sale, you’ll find that just at the end of every season, they have the best deals, and buy ahead, buy your winter jackets and jumpers now, whilst they are cheap, ready and waiting for the next fashion season!

Good Cosmetic and Aesthetic

How good you look will affect your mood so if you are unhappy with your makeup then it is good to look at make up that is best suited to you and not spending a fortune on good makeup. You want good staying power and no drawbacks. Look at the best colours to suit your skin tone and eye colour. Look at your hair and what may need to be changed up, growing it long to play around with styles or maybe you want to have it short to keep it more manageable and looking good and healthy. The choices are yours. If you feel you need some cosmetic work doing then be sure that you research fully. Are you going to want to change your teeth or straighten them out with Invisalign? Do you want to get lip fillers or botox? All this is OK as long as you are sure that it is really what you want and that you have done your research. Look for somewhere local and look at what could work best for you.

Which Countries Are Doing It Best?

Every country has its own beauty trends. Latest trend is in Korea, and they have long been setting the examples for skincare but some of the trends are a little more unusual, such as the famous face tape and the dramatic makeover.

Australia recently came to bring the freckles trend to light, and many brands have made their own fake freckle make-up, which allows you to dot brown specks on your face to mimic the look of summer freckles. There are also some great places in Sydney to have your teeth looked at with, dentist Sydney and you can certainly fix your smile.

Rome and Paris often lead the way with new fashion, in Paris, back in the early 2010s, the trend of culottes and t shirts really took over. The most important thing with fashion is knowing what to wear. Trends may look good but may not necessarily suit you.

So no matter where you want to improve your look, be inspired, create moodboards and look at others who inspire you to dress well and look better. Shop online or in thrift stores to get cheaper deals than your average high street shop and start enjoying a happier version of yourself this decade. The decision is yours, start today!
