I was kindly provided with some credit to try the service out. Please note that the code included in this review is a referral code – I will receive some Zeek credit if you sign up to get your free £5.
I often talk about ways to make money and to save money on this blog and like to keep you updated on new sites that I find. I am always on the look out for a good side hustle. One such site that I have been trying out recently is Zeek. Zeek is both a website and app where you can buy discounted vouchers and gift cards for a variety of different retailers and restaurants. All vouchers and gift cards undergo several verification procedures before they’re actually sold so you can guarantee you are protected when buying one.
Buying On Zeek
The discounts available on Zeek vary – sometimes as little as 2% but sometimes much, much larger — but a discount is a discount at the end of the day. Armed with my credit, I took a look on the site before opting for a Tesco giftcard with a 2% discount. I opted for Tesco as I was due to do a big food shop for items to make Slimming World recipes with so a supermarket giftcard made the most sense. There are so many other retailers to choose from though – covering all aspects from apps to coffee to health and beauty stores.
Once your gift card has been purchased, you need to wait for it to be sent to you. Digital codes arrive immediately but physical vouchers will need to be posted out. I received mine within two days which I was very impressed with. It arrived very promptly and I encountered no problems when paying for my shopping – in fact, I would say that the whole experience itself was very positive. It was easy to navigate around the site and find the brands that I was interested in and you got the choice of amount you would like. I opted for a £50 giftcard with 2% discount but there were cards for the same brand with a £75 value and an £100 value – you really can get exactly what you want.
If you are interested in giving the site a go, I am able to offer you £5 credit for free! By clicking this link or adding the promo code 2EJZ to the promo code section on the website or app, you will receive £5 in your account to use towards a voucher of your choosing. Don’t forget that once you’ve signed up too, you can share with your friends and give them the opportunity to receive a free £5 credit too – whilst also getting a little credit yourself towards future purchases. What’s not to love?
Now I’ve mentioned buying on Zeek but what about selling?
Selling On Zeek
I haven’t yet tried selling on Zeek but you know me, I love to try out new ways of making money so I will certainly be giving this a try in the future. We all end up with vouchers or gift cards that we may not want – usually when someone grabs one as a last minute gift for us because they couldn’t think of anything else – and it is a crying shame that they just sit there and go to waste when someone else could benefit from them – and we could earn a little extra cash.
I’m all for a good side hustle so have been looking to see if I currently have any vouchers or cards that I wish to sell. I don’t currently but it is inevitable I will end up with one or two soon – I always do, especially competition prizes where I’ve come runner up and actually only entered for the main prize, sometimes you just don’t need that runners up prize!
Selling couldn’t be any simpler – just head to the sell section of the site or app, add photographs and pick a discount amount. You will have to pay a small processing charge to Zeek but will receive any earnings after the charge into your PayPal or bank account.
With my aim to be debt free by the end of the year looking ever more likely, I’m really pushing for it now and will try making extra money wherever I can. Since I’d otherwise have the gift cards laying around, this definitely seems like a great idea to declutter (another of my goals!) and earn some cash for doing so.
All in all. I would definitely recommend buying discounted gift cards from Zeek – it is always good to make your money stretch a little further – and why not take advantage of the site and sell your own unwanted vouchers too? It is better than leaving them to expire!

I’m unfamiliar with Zeek, but love the concept. I’ll have to give them a try!
