We were recently sent some of the brand new Ribena Minis to review. Jack is a big Ribena fan and often gets thirsty when we’re out and about so I always try to have a drink to hand. Unfortunately most of the time these drinks can be big and bulky and worse still, can leak in my handbag. This is where Ribena Minis come in and save the day. Not only are they a handy miniature size but they also have a fantastic Less Spill, Less Mess cap as demonstrated by Jack below.
He was a bit wary about tipping it up over his head but he needn’t have worried as you can see – nothing spilled out and this makes me as a parent very impressed. I’ve lost count of the amount of times Jack’s drinks have opened in my bag somehow and decided to give all my stuff a soaking. Knowing I can pop one or two of these in my handbag is great as it means I can not only be prepared but also not be worried about any accidents.
The new Ribena Minis come in three different flavours: Brilliant Blackcurrant, Oh So Yum Orange and Amazing Apple and Mango. We were sent a couple of bottles of both the blackcurrant and apple and mango to try and we will definitely be seeking out the Oh So Yum Orange too – it sounds delicious. The blackcurrant tasted just as you expect blackcurrant Ribena to taste and was definitely Jack’s favourite although he has definitely developed a liking for the apple & mango flavour too.
Each refreshing choice contains real fruit juice and no added sugar which is also a major plus point. I don’t want to be filling my child up with sugar nor do I want him to be drinking something full of artificial fruit flavouring so knowing that he enjoys it whilst getting the goodness is brilliant for me. The bottles come in 200mls and 250mls which I find to be the perfect size for someone of Jack’s age. The push top resealable Less Spill, Less Mess cap means that they can be opened and closed whenever needed and can be carried around from place to place if going out to a few different places in a day.
As well as the drinks, we were also sent out a fun activity pack which has certainly been keeping Jack busy. Whether he’s been inside playing games and doing his activity book or outside flying his brand new kite, you can guarantee that he will almost certainly have a bottle of Ribena Mini nearby, ready to quench his thirst.
I’m very impressed with this brand new range from Ribena. Not only do they come in some real tasty flavours but the non spill cap is perfect for parents who want to carry a drink around with them without risking their handbag getting a soaking.
