My pregnancy diaries if you hadn’t noticed run a week late – I post week 19 when I turn 20 etc. I’m posting this a little earlier though as I have my 20 week scan tomorrow and don’t think I can wait until next week to post about it, haha!
This week should be known as the uncomfortable week – I’ve struggled with sleeping even more as I just can’t get comfy, no matter how I lay. My bump seems to have properly appeared now which is exciting – apparently very exciting for my friends and the ladies at Slimming World – but it does make things a whole lot more uncomfortable.
I maintained my weight this week which I was happy about. I’m not actively trying to lose weight throughout pregnancy as that would be silly but I am hoping to maintain or put on as little as possible as I’d hate to walk back into Slimming World back at the weight I started at – my heaviest ever. I was really down about my weight back then and I don’t want to have those feelings, especially when I have a newborn baby.
Other than that, this week has been fairly quiet. I’ve been spending lots of time with Jack in preparation for him going to school full time from the 7th – his first day he only stays in until lunch is over (I get to sit and have lunch with him!), the second day he is in until 1.30pm, the third day (which is a Friday) all day and then he gets the weekend to recover before he has a whole week of full days. I’m going to miss my little partner in crime but I definitely plan to catch up on some zzz’s if I am still struggling to sleep because of the baby by then!
I’ll be back either tomorrow or Friday, hopefully letting you know what gender the baby is. What do you think it is?

It’s difficult when our little ones go elsewhere. I used to miss Sylvy in nursery and then I also enjoyed the free time too!
I remember this week. I actually didn’t have a huge bump at this time yet and so wasn’t to uncomfortable. Felt the first REAL BIG kicks to week 20 🙂
Im thinking Boy 😀
I’m sure you’ll miss your little partner in crime, but you should definitely take advantage of the quiet time and rest up preparing for the new bundle of joy. xx
Make the most of your quiet time. It will soon be a houseful before you know it x
All my kids are in full time school now and me and my wife are loving the extra time we get. after 6 weeks holiday i’m looking forward to them going back. get all the sleep you can while your son is at school.
Good luck with the scan and you are nearly half way though now. I am excited for you to find out if its boy or girl.
Eek can’t wait to see your reveal! I suffered badly with sleep during pregnancy so I really feel for you. Hope Jacks first full day goes well! X
So excited about you having a baby girl, how adorable! (Saw on Facebook) I am super pleased for you as I know what struggles you’ve been through before, I hope you are doing well sweetie xxx
Aw your bump is gorgeous! Hope you get a good scan 🙂
Good on you for trying to make healthy choices whilst you’re pregnant, too! <3
Eeeeek! So happy for you hun.
Such a shame about sleeping and bump but I’m sure it’ll be worth it in the end 😀
Ive just announced my pregnancy on the blog and I’m a few weeks behind you – So crazy how Hayden starts school this year too and we’re both pregnant at the same time.
Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well.
