That Was The Week That Was: A Week In Pictures

I swear that one week I am amazing at taking pictures, another I’m absolutely appalling! Hardly any pictures this week – I haven’t really been up to much except shopping with my Mum on Thursday. We also went to a family party last night but I forgot to take my camera. I’m popping up to the pub with Steve, Jack & a few friends later to enjoy this sunshine – I’ll hopefully get a few pics then!
1. MY CURRENT TO-READ PILE – NOT COUNTING THE 300+ EBOOKS ON MY KINDLE AND THE OTHER 20 OR SO PAPERBACKS!//
2. MY NEW FAVOURITE LIPSTICK – COST ME NOTHING FROM  BEAUTY WITHOUT CRUELTY//
3. MUCKING AROUND AFTER A PAMPERING SESSION – YES, I AM IN MY DRESSING GOWN AND YES, THAT IS CBEEBIES IN THE BACKGROUND//
4. NOT EVEN A QUARTER OF MY BOOK COLLECTION – DO YOU THINK I’M SLIGHTLY OBSESSED?
As I said, this week has been pretty boring seeing as I haven’t really done much! On the blog, I held another Like, Love, Loathe linkup party, joined in with the Me, Myself & I linkup, posted a recipe with a twist that got a great response, held the usual features: A Picture… and Friday Letters, was extremely late in posting my Blog Of The Month for June and I also had a guest post by the beautiful Emma from My Pretty Mummy.
In the week ahead, look forward to another Like, Love, Loathe linkup, an OOTD, a book challenge update, some regular features and a skincare review.
What have you got planned for the week ahead?

  1. Oh my goodness that's not even a quarter of your collection ? Jealous of your pampering session! I may just do one tonight now haha xx

Thisishearts.blogspot.com ,, got a blog makeover, you should check it out! 🙂

    1. Me too, I'm like shall I read blogs or a book today?xo

  2. I envy your book collection – I had/have a huge bookcase full of goodies back with the parents but I couldn't bring many with me which sucks. I do love picking up the odd old one from estate sales but i get the majority of my books from the library these days.

    1. Aww, it sucks that you had to leave the majority of your collection in the UK 🙁 xo

  3. I wanted to buy the top two books on your to read pile, but then I thought I have way too many unread ones. So I ordered them to come in two weeks. The next week will be all about reading books for me. And enjoying the sun! And blogging will be somewhere in the plans as well 🙂
    So, happy week 😀

  4. Hi Bex! I just wanted to stop by and thank you for linking up to Fabulous Fridays! I hope to see you again next week. 🙂

    Julie

That Was The Week That Was: A Week In Pictures

I haven’t really been up to much this week – spent most of the time chilling out at home, doing housework and listing on Ebay (as well as occasionally buying…oops). In the past few weeks, I’ve featured on both Catt’s blog (go follow her, her blog is amazing and she deserves so many more followers – she’s a wonderful person!) and Rachael’s blog. These two girls have become really good friends of mine and you haven’t checked out their blog before – you really should!
What have you been up to this week? Here is my week in pictures….
1. The gorgeous Millionaire’s Shortbread that Steve made (recipe here)
2. Posing yet again
3. Chilling out with the new Company magazine
4. Testing out a new moisturising cream – review coming soon.
5. Mini book haul (not even half of the books I bought in the past fortnight!)
6. My fab finds in TK Maxx – Steve loves them!
7. Waving hello to everyone
8. The gorgeous dress seen in my latest OOTD post, originally from George but which I bought from Louise on Ebay.
9. The lovely little note she included. Can’t wait to meet this girl – she is amazing!
10. I swear if Jack sees a camera, he stops to pose!
11. Mini DVD haul from Ebay – I love 10 Things I Hate About You and although I don’t think Confessions Of A Shopaholic does any justice to the books, it’s still a feel-good film to have in my collection.
12. Giggling at something I did – no idea what though!
13. Just a small selection of my current book pile to read – also got plenty of ebooks on my Kindle to read too..eeek!
14. My friend Laura treated Jack to his first ever sunglasses – how cute?
15. My penpal letter from Justine – such a lovely letter! I’m really enjoying being penpals with a few of you – it’s nice to get to know you a little better and also use good old-fashioned pen and paper.
16. My win from Sharwoods. Yummy!
What have you got planned for the week ahead? I’m taking loads of parcels to the Post Office, taking Jack to get weighed and see the Health Visitor and pick up my World Book Night books from the library tomorrow. Then I’ve got nothing planned until Saturday when my niece gets married! I’m so excited, but I’m having to invest in a waterproof mascara just in case the waterworks come and I can’t stop them.
By the way, I’ve got 25 copies of The Secret Dreamworld Of A Shopaholic to give away for free for World Book Night. I know they won’t get to you in time for World Book Night but I’d like to offer ten copies to my readers, so if you’re interested, the first 10 people to comment with their email address each get one. I’ll cover postage and packaging costs, don’t worry. All I ask is that you are following me via GFC (now closed – picking some Twitter followers too!)
Have a great week!
xo
