So 2013 is but a day away and I imagine we’re all contemplating our resolutions for the year ahead. How many of us will actually keep to them? How many will forget after January the 1st? I’ve made a small list of resolutions I’d like to keep – but if other years are anything to go by, I can’t guarantee a great success rate….
(1) Exercise more.
This is pretty much a resolution that I make year in and year out. I did actually start exercising a lot more this year – walking, going to Zumba and Wii Fit were all included in my plan. However, once Jack got a little bigger, everything except the walking seemed to fall by the wayside. The plan for 2013 is to get back into doing some exercise again; I definitely noticed results the last time.
(2) Cut down on chocolate.
Since I don’t really drink alcohol any more, chocolate has become my vice of choice. It is quite easy for me to scoff a huge bar without batting an eyelid. Inspired by Sophia from Tattooed Tealady, I am going to try and cut chocolate out of my system for a few weeks and see whether my body reacts well to the change.
(3) Really think about my future.
Much as I love my colleagues, retail isn’t something I want to do forever. I am aware that having Jack doesn’t make for the easiest of opportunities but if I could possibly find an OU course that I’m interested in, I’d perhaps feel a little more fulfilled in the workplace.
(4) Save some money for the wedding.
This is a silly one, as of course we are going to need to save money for a wedding if we want to have one! However, money has been tight the past couple of months so hopefully, now that Steve has a new job, we can get round to putting away a substantial amount each month,
(5) Read more.
I failed my book challenge so although I am not setting a fixed amount for next year, I really hope to read more throughout the months and will keep you updated at the end of each month with my progress.
What resolutions are you making?
Happy New Year!

Fab resolutions hun! But don't do OU – they stung me for £400 and expected me to be at exams within 48hrs notice etc – also the tutors rarely respond to emails quickly etc! There are some amazing other courses available though! Good luck with all your resolutions – I'm sure you'll achieve all of them 😀 xxxx
Ooh, thats not good!x
Good luck with you resolutions hun although I think 1 and 2 are mixed up! Shouldn't eat be Eat More and Exercise Less, that's what mine is anyways 🙂
HAHAH! Thanks hun x
Get resolution. Exercising is also on my list.
Happy New Year!!!
You too!x
Good luck with your resolutions! I'd like to read more in 2013 too – I spend way too much time on the internet.
Oh me too! I procrastinate far too much!x
Number one is on my list too, I'm hoping to lose 30 pounds by the end of 2013 🙂
Good luck Aly x
Good luck! I hope to exercise more and save some money as well. Let's try to motivate in the blog world! Good luck 🙂
