125 Books In A Year: An Update

So how am I doing so far?
I have read a grand total so far of….
one book.
EEK.
Not so great, is it? I’m three quarters of the way through my second, but I just can’t seem to motivate myself to finish it just yet, what with everything that’s going on.
Book Number 1
How To Be A Woman by Caitlin Moran
{source)
Hilarious, crass and all the things in between – this book had me in stitches talking about issues that affect the modern woman such as dating, periods, sex and everything else. I had seen this recommended on plenty of blogs, and I follow the woman herself on Twitter so bought this in Waterstones a little while back to see what all the fuss was about. Definitely one of the funniest books I’ve read over the past year.
Have you read this book? What did you think of it? If not, are you interested in reading it?
Also, have you any suggestions for some good books that I should read as part of my challenge? I’m currently trawling through Play and Amazon’s books sections, and sending my mother out on charity shop searches for some great new books – and I’m open to suggestions!

  1. Are you signed up to Goodreads.com? It's a brilliant way of keeping up with what you have and haven't read – I used to read 2/3 books a week and I've got down to about 1 a year now. It's so sad! I took a long bath and got half way through a trashy chick lit yesterday though because Goodreads inspired me 🙂 xxxxxx

  2. Yeah, I added a GoodReads widget earlier —>

I know what you mean, I've barely read recently…need to get my bum in gear! xo
