I don’t know about you but it seems like everyone I know is pregnant at the moment, many among my closest friends. Buying their Christmas presents is becoming increasingly difficult and a few have said that if I need to buy something, buy an item for the baby. Babies can cost a lot of money so I am more than happy to help out by buying that thing that my friend might need.
With Jack being born just 3 weeks before Christmas, baby stuff would have been greatly appreciated as a gift and plenty of people came to our aid, buying the little things that we may not have thought of. Something I wish someone had bought for us is the services of a newborn photographer – I would have loved to have some great shots to cherish.
I’ve picked a few items from the Online4Baby website to suit different budgets. Some people spend a lot on their friends, others don’t so I tried to choose a few differently priced items.
I’m hoping to get my friends lists of what they need back soon so I can take advantage of the one hour shipping slots if I order before 4pm! This is really handy at any time of year but especially in the run up to Christmas.
The most important thing apart from clothes and feeding equipment (dependent on how you feed) when you have just given birth is a car seat. After all you will need one to take Baby home from the hospital in so it is essential people have one before the baby actually comes. The Cosatto Giggle car seat may be at the higher end of Christmas present budgets but it is certainly something your friend or family member will appreciate you buying them.
I’ve also chosen a few fun items for baby once him or her comes along – a jungle gym is pretty much an essential item nowadays as children adore them plus a buggy toy or cuddly toy such as the ones pictured above are perfect little stocking fillers if you don’t have much money to spend. If these items don’t take your fancy, why not treat your friend to a massage or gift her some vouchers offering to do a week’s worth of cooking, cleaning or laundry once baby comes along? I’m sure it will go down well!
Have you bought anything like this for friends/family this year? What have you bought?
