When it comes to selecting bridesmaids dresses there is a lot to consider. The aesthetics of your wedding is what is at stake. You want to make sure that you are always making the right choices and selections.

However, this is often easier said than done. If you’re new to this, like most brides are, you are going to need a few tips to make sure that everything goes smoothly. Here are some key considerations when selecting bridesmaid dresses.

Think About Your Budget

Your budget is something that you need to seriously consider. How far can your cash go? How far can your bridesmaids’ cash go?

When choosing a style of dress you have to think about everybody’s financial situation. The last thing you want to do is end up burning holes in anyone’s pockets including yours.

The Body Type of Your Bridesmaids

The body types of your bridesmaids are also something you need to take into serious consideration as well. Everybody wants to look great so you are going to have to choose a style that will be flattering to everybody. It’s a tall order!

However, you have to keep doing fittings and looking at dresses until you find something that flatters everyone so that they can be confident and beautiful. Be sure to adhere to these bridesmaid dresses do’s and don’ts when making your choices.

The Color Scheme of the Dress

The color scheme of the dress is another thing you need to have at the top of your priority list. You should have an established color scheme for your wedding.

This way you’ll be able to choose dresses that will perfectly complement it. Your bridesmaids’ dresses should complement your wedding gown and not completely clash with it. You don’t want them overshadowing you but you don’t want them to blending with the colors of the walls either. You need to strike a delicate balance.

Season and Venue

The next thing you’re going to need to do is look at the season and the venue that you will be using. If you are going for a conservative atmosphere then your bridesmaids will probably need to wear more conservative clothing that does not reveal too much. If your wedding is more informal such as at a beach, you may be able to be more liberal with the styles that you choose.

The bottom line is that whether your wedding is a classic, rustic or Bohemian you need to consider the overall aesthetics to make sure your bridesmaids’ fit in perfectly.

Consider the Comfort of Your Bridesmaids

The comfort of your bridesmaids is also something you need to prioritize. You don’t want your bridesmaids wiggling from discomfort or itching because their dresses have become hot. If there will be other activities involved such as dancing, and other types of intermingling, you want them to be very comfortable in their dress.

Ready for your bridesmaids to turn heads and make people do a double take at your wedding? By following these tips, your bridesmaids are sure to shine, and look great, in all the memorable pictures you will be taking that day.
