So what gift ideas do I have for you today?
B. toys Pet Vet Clinic – for 3 year olds.
This B. toys Pet Vet Clinic is perfect for promoting role play in younger children. The clinic itself comes with a carry handle, two plush pets which they can use as patients, a stethoscope, a syringe, a thermometer and scales. There are four rooms for the animals and matching keys to lock and unlock the rooms. There are plenty of other things to discover such as the owl who pops out of the chimney and even the slide out x-rays on the side of the clinic.
Olivia has been playing with this constantly. It helps to develop fine motor skills and encourages creativity and she has really been giving it her all. She loves locking and unlocking the doors, checking to see if the animals are poorly – and she’s even started using other animals in there too, being very creative.
This is a wonderful toy for three year olds and I can see Olivia playing with this for many years to come.
Tobbie Robot the self guiding AI Robot DIY – for 8 year olds.
This Tobbie The Robot self guiding AI Robot DIY is a very intelligent robot. It is a self assembly kit made up of 107 push out and assemble pieces. You will need cutters and a filer to assemble the bits neatly. The robot has lights and sounds and he walks on six legs. There are two different modes – ‘Follow Me’ where he will follow anything moving and ‘Explore’ where he uses his sensor to avoid obstacles. Kids will certainly have a great STEM experience with Tobbie.
Tobbie is such a fun little robot and Jack has had great fun playing with him, Olivia has too. I will warn you that putting him together can be a little difficult – although putting him together is part of the fun, Jack at eight years old did struggle and had to enlist his Dad for help to put it together. It can be a little fiddly but the end result is so worth it.
The kids have been having lot of fun teaching Tobbie to follow them and they have also been creating plenty of obstacles to see if he can get around them all – which he has managed to, with ease.
You’d expect a robot such as this to be much more expensive but it is very affordable at under £40, a great Christmas gift idea.
BrightMinds have plenty of great gift ideas on the site – why not take a look? Would your children like these gifts?
