I’m not going to lie, Steve is definitely the better cook in our family and probably spends the most time in the kitchen out of the two of us. That isn’t to say I don’t spend hours pining after new products for our kitchen – especially when they all seem to give up the ghost at the same time!
Unfortunately our kitchen is quite small and since we are looking to move to a bigger place when we want to add to our family, a bigger kitchen is definitely on the cards. There is barely any space right now to prepare much food as items like the toaster, kettle, microwave take up half the tabletop space. We’ve got a tiny little fridge crammed in which means our huge chest freezer is stuck in the dining room/office space next to the very computer I am writing this on – it is definitely a bit of a squeeze.
The one thing I have ALWAYS wanted in my kitchen is one of those large American fridge freezers for my perfect kitchen. We always had a fridge freezer at my parents house but I still remember the first time I saw an American style one at my friend’s house – it was even one that dispenses ice!
Both Steve and I have envy over the kitchens some of our family and friends have – Steve’s parents have a lovely, large kitchen with lots of space and plenty of room for kitchen gadgetry. I know its a little way off but I’m hoping in our next house, space won’t be an issue. We love to spend time in the kitchen but its just not that fun whilst living here. Perhaps in the future we will get the perfect house we’ve always dreamed of with plenty of space all over – and enough room for our kitchen gadgets!
It's so interesting to hear you say that about the fridges! Sometimes I forget that not everyone has access to those especially in rentals over seas! They are definitely worth the investment!
