The Perfect Valentines Gift For The Lady In Your Life

If the lady in your life is anything like me, she will love a piece of jewellery. Not just any jewellery, mind you, but something that truly means something. My favourite pieces of jewellery all have a tale behind them from the locket my Dad gave me to the necklace my Nan left me when she died to the brooch that I bought from a lady in Camden and whom I am sure was trying to tell me something. Each piece of jewellery I have owned and subsequently kept over the years has a meaning, a meaning personal to me, and that is what I think all jewellery should have.

I’ve had a locket since I was a very young girl but as you can imagine, it is a little tight to wear now I am an adult and I am reluctant to change anything about it as it means so much. This means I have been looking around for an alternative and I think I have found a few – one in particular being Memory Lockets.
Coming in a variety of different designs and at very affordable prices, it would make my day if I unwrapped one of these on Valentines Day – chocolate is so overrated, jewellery is where it’s at! The pendants can be opened and personalised with charms which is what I really like about them – you can’t beat the personal touch!
Another thing I have been thinking about is the charms. When I was a teenager, everyone had a charm bracelet except me. I finally got one and wore it pretty much to death but bracelets just aren’t practical for me nowadays. Working at a computer with the bracelet hitting the keyboard every time I type or a toddler deciding to pull it from my wrist are not my idea of fun. With the memory lockets though, there is the option to personalise them with Floating Charms

I like this idea because you can personalise the locket with charms that mean something to you – and unlike photo lockets, you don’t get people getting annoyed that it isn’t them that is included (yes, this actually happened with my cousins – they fought over who should be in my locket – it ended up being myself and my cousin in our Spice Girls jumpers!).

As much as I love flowers and chocolate, I’ve always been much more of a sentimental girl when it comes to gifts. Something personal or meaningful will always be a much better gift to me – it shows that I’ve been listened to when I’ve mentioned things that I like and that people care enough about me to buy me such sentimental gifts.

What are you hoping to receive this Valentines Day?
