I often have girls nights in round mine, especially when Steve is on night shifts. Jack goes to bed and my friends will come round, we’ll either cook something quick or opt for a takeaway and then get on with our evening. But what are my favourite things to do on a night in with the girls? I’m going to be having even more of them now that I am pregnant and not going out for girls nights out!
Depending on which girls come round, the things that we do can be completely different. Some of my friends come round for a takeaway and film night, some for some binging on reality TV, some opt for bingo games online with me in the chance of winning some cash and some even come round and blog – yep, that’s right, blog – we throw ideas off of each other.
I love to do any of these – I have no real preference as it is just night to spend some time with my friends and catch up if we haven’t seen each other in a while but I love that no matter how long it has been since we’ve seen each other, a girls night in always shows us just why we are friends. We don’t need the glitz and glamour of dolling ourselves up for a night out, we are quite happy to sit at home in comfy casual clothes or pyjamas and catch up on our fave telly or try our hand at winning some money. I’ve been lucky a few times but my friends definitely seem to be the luckier ones!
I’ve even had virtual girls night ins with fellow blogger friends who live further away – playing bingo online in the same chat room or Skyping each other to throw blog or work ideas back and forth – all are great for me and definitely keep the loneliness away when Steve is on nights and Jack is in bed.
