The Importance Of Tyre Safety

When it comes to cars, tyre safety is paramount.

Tyre safety is something we as a family are big on and we get ours checked regularly. We usually visit a local mechanic to us who checks them over and will then tell us what needs changing if anything does. However we have been struggling recently to find suitable tyres for our car (a Ford C-Max) that are also in our price range – this is where Point S comes in. They have a wide variety of brands, sizes and all at affordable prices which is definitely what we need after the MOT cash drain that we had the other month!

With winter weather setting in, people should be thinking about tyre safety more than ever. Driving with defective tyres, especially in this weather, is not only dangerous but could also lead to a fine of £2500 along with three penalty points on your driving licence. Why would you risk you and your families safety, your bank account and your licence because you just can’t be bothered to go and get them checked and possibly changed? More than 1200 road accidents have occurred because of lack of tyre safety precautions taken by those driving. I find it utterly bizarre and stupid to risk people’s lives in that way, life isn’t a game!

We will be getting ours checked out after pay day to ensure we are prepared for the winter ahead. We haven’t long had these tyres but for peace of mind, I want to ensure that we are perfectly safe in our little family car as we spend a lot of time driving in it during winter, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.

Is tyre safety something you ensure you keep on top of, especially at this time of year? Or are you not as careful as you should be?
