Having fun with Funzee

I’ll admit it, I fell victim to the onesie hype. I always protested that I didn’t want one, that I didn’t want one. But when it seemed as if the world and his wife had one in their wardrobe, I thought that I’d better give one a go. I was sent the Retro hooded onesie* from Funzee to review – Funzee have a fantastic range of adult onesies to choose from; I’m definitely thinking about adding the Polar onesie to my collection!

For the purpose of this review and to show you just how comfortable I am in it, here is a picture sans makeup. This isn’t a sight I usually unleash on the world but I needed to show you just how comfy it is; I change into it as soon as I get in from work now – it’s a routine!
Excuse the grumpy expression – Steve hardly captured me at my most flattering angle….

The onesie is 100% cotton which obviously is a major factor in how comfortable it is. It has a zipper down the front, enabling you to slip in and out of it. It comes with large pockets either side to keep hands warm and a breast pocket to put items in such as your phone. Funzee specialise in unisex sizing meaning this onesie is perfect for men or women – I haven’t yet convinced Steve to try it though!

It washes well – always a major plus point for me when trying an item of clothing for the first time. A piece of clothing can be amazing but the quality can decline after the first wash – no such problem with this. I am currently wearing the onesie whilst writing this; it has almost become a second skin!

Would I buy more onesies? I definitely would, they’re such a great item of clothing for around the house – so comfy and soft. I’m definitely thinking about purchasing the Polar one from Funzee but I’ve also been searching around to see what other designs there are – the way I’m going, I could end up with a whole wardrobe full!

Do you own a onesie? If not, do you think you’ll ever be converted to the dark side?

Sold On Scentsy

I promised you an update on my Scentsy experience and I am pleased to say that I have loved pretty much every single one! As you can tell, I’m pretty sold on them. I’m still not all the way through all of them just yet but this experience has led me to purchase so many scented bars, candles and so much more! Everytime I go in a shop that sells any form of scented product, I am leaving with it – but none of them are matching up to the Scentsy fragrances.

Lori certainly seems to have my personality down to a tee with the fragrances that she chose, almost every one evokes something in me – whether it be a memory or I just love the smell. I am definitely looking to purchase some more scents ( and a couple of the warmers) when I run out.

Right now, I have been burning most of the products in this little beauty, a snip at £1 (Poundland). I love it but I know it is only a cheap item that won’t last for too long. I’ve actually put most of Lori’s Scentsy catalogue on my Christmas list, it will be interesting to see what Steve actually gets me!

Here are a few of my favourite scents from Lori’s shop:

Pebble Grey Illuminated Cosmetic Mirror

Do you ever find yourself struggling to put on your makeup when the winter nights draw in? I know I find it a struggle so when offered the chance to review this Illuminated Cosmetic Mirror* from Pebble Grey, I knew I had to give it a go.

Pebble Grey are a fantastic company, offering you some gorgeous items to give your bathroom that little bit of you. From illuminated mirrors to designer accessories, your bathroom cabinet is sure to look wonderful! I am falling in love with how beautiful some of the items look – I wish my bathroom had the ability to look like that!

The mirror comes packaged beautifully in a drawstring velvet bag, within a monogrammed black box. I love when things are packaged nicely & this is no exception. This would be perfect as a gift this Christmas for a beauty junkie – I could spend ages raving about how lovely I found the presentation.

The mirror itself is small enough to fit within your handbag but it is anything but small in what it does. When they say illuminate, they truly do mean illuminate. I took these pictures during the day and look how bright the lights are then! I’m planning to take a picture next time I do my makeup in low light – I keep forgetting to! The light is bright and is great in helping to apply makeup during times of low light. I have been out for a few parties recently and haven’t been getting home from work until late, leaving me little time to do my makeup and often in rubbish, artificial light. This has become a staple in my bathroom in ensuring I look my best at all times.

I am definitely going to be purchasing some of these for my beauty obsessed friends; it’s something practical that can be kept to hand at all times.

The Mistletoe LED Cosmetic Mirror is currently reduced to just £14.99 on the Pebble Grey website {link} and if you order before 2pm, you also qualify for next day delivery (UK mainland only).

Would you ever use an illuminated cosmetics mirror? Do you actually own one?

WUBB Review Panel: ElishaCoy Skin Repairing Snail Cream – My Final Thoughts

I posted a first impressions post at the beginning of the month, talking about the product myself and 5 other bloggers were sent as part of Wishtrend’s review panel. I was loving it back then, so how have I found it after a month?

If you follow me on Twitter, you will probably know that I moan about the state of my skin on a regular basis. I was sceptical and perhaps a little unsure of using a snail cream on my face, but after taking a look at just what mucin can do to aid the skin, I bit the bullet and gave it a go.

After applying for a month, I can happily say that although not perfect, the state of my skin has definitely improved with daily usage of this cream.* I have had a tough time trying to persuade my friends and family that snail cream is actually good for you, though! A little of this cream definitely goes a long way, I’ve barely made a dent in the amount!

The ElishaCoy Skin Repairing Snail Cream retails on the Wishtrend website for $42.80 which roughly converts to £26.72. This is obviously not the cheapest of beauty fixes but when something works, price is only an object.

I will definitely be repurchasing this once I’ve finished my tub (which may not be for a while!) – my skin deserves all the love and attention it can get!

Have you ever tried a snail cream? Would you?

Avon Ultra Colour Rich Lipstick: Sparkling Peach

Every now and again, one lipstick comes along that completely takes your breath away and becomes the one you wear day in and day out. We all know that I have far too many lip products than I know what to do with, but I just can’t resist buying a new lipstick – and this beauty has been my product of choice ever since I bought it a couple of months ago.

Avon have always been one of my favourite brands – I can remember my mum and nan buying from their brochures regularly when I was little and I think that some of my very first makeup came from their pages. When browsing their website a couple of months ago, I came across this beautiful looking lipstick and just knew that I had to add it to my already vast collection.

As you can imagine from the name, this lipstick is a sparkly peach colour, verging ever so slightly towards coral. I’m not a major fan of sparkle, but when it looks this good, who’s complaining? The formula is incredibly moisturising and the colour pay-off is fantastic – no need for building up the colour, the colour is already there in one swipe! How long does it last? I have been wearing this a lot lately, running around like a headless chicken, and I can tell you that although this has generally slipped off after a 6 hour shift (including eating and drinking), I do think that it is quite a good last time all things considered. If I wasn’t running around, I’m sure it would last a lot longer.

Avon Ultra Colour Rich lipstick in Sparkling Peach retails for just £7 on the Avon website and you can find it here. What are your thoughts on Avon lipsticks? If you’ve never tried any, what’s putting you off?
