WIN | Winther Viking Tricycle

Whilst I am not posting as many parenting posts nowadays compared to how many I used to post, the fact remains I am still a mummy to a super active little toddler with far too much energy who makes far too much mess. I was recently contacted by Costcutters UK who asked if my readers would be interested in the amazing prize below..I said yes, of course!

The prize up for grabs is a fantastic Winther Viking Tricycle, retailing at Β£179.99 and suitable for 2-4 year olds. Guaranteed to aid motor skill development and coming with a 3 year guarantee, this is an awesome prize for one lucky winner.
So what do you need to? All you need to do is leave a comment with your email or Twitter name telling me this:
What was your earliest favourite childhood toy and why did you love it so much?

A winner will be chosen on the 19th of January at midday and a winner announced shortly afterwards. This is UK only, I’m afraid. Good luck!

  1. My favourite childhood toy was my stuffed tiger called Tigger. He went everywhere with me, holidays, doctors, sleep overs you name it we did it together. He was a present for my first birthday and I took him everywhere until I was around 7 or 8 when he took pride of place on a shelf above my bed.

We were so inseparable my mum had to pretend to potty train Tigger too and of course Tigger had to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I have now given Tigger to my son but as he is 24 years old and had his tail and ears sown on more times than I care to mention he observes from the dresser as he wouldnt survive another toddler. My son now has a polar bear he takes everywhere and it is beautiful to see him playing with his bear Brewer just as I did with my Tigger, imagination is everything πŸ™‚

  2. My favourite toy from childhood was my probably my Popple bear. Although it is tough to choose. My daughters now have her and until recently didn't know she uncurled. It was really funny to watch when they discovered it @thisdayilove on twitter

Thanks for the giveaway! I always loved my My Little Ponies and I used to play with them in the garden around our rockery and fish pond. The rockery was the mountains and the fish pond was the lake! When I received the My Little Pony Show Stable for Christmas one year, I couldn't believe my luck and woudl play with it for hours a day! I loved those toys because I could let my imagination go wild and I was (and still am) creative and art so I used to enjoy decorating their stable with hand made furniture (yes really!) and I loved plaiting the ponies manes and tails to make them look pretty!

    Thank you for the giveaway!

Mine has to be back when i was 5 years old, I remember vaguely waking up christmas day to find the talking teddy ruxpin bear and also mother goose , both which you had to put a cassette player inside and they would then telly you a story and move there mouths , the best ever toys i owned, it was 7 years later i recieved my next best memory of recieving stilts , i was neve of them they were like my second legs i as that great on them

  5. My first memory of a toy I really loved was an emu puppet similar to Rod Hull's. I remember coming downstairs on Christmas Day and seeing a big present waiting for me and not having a clue what it was. I was more annoying that Rod Hull was with his emu, and of course, whenever he attacked, it wasn't my fault, it was emu, just like Rod too!

  6. I loved my shiny red tricycle. It didn't look like this one, but I spent so much time on it. My daughter rode it about too, strange to think she's now working. Time is odd. Still, a friend's little one would enjoy this.

The furthest I can remember back (bad memory!) are to the times of Barbies and Polly Pockets. I was very into imaginative play and role play and just used to play out everyday situations with them, such as going to school and going on holiday!

  8. My favourite toy was a cuddly panda. My mum had bought it from a jumble sale when she was at college and it is threadbare and absolutely worn out. I love her and she now proudly wears a t-shirt I had when I was little with velvet lettering of "Emily" on it. Just goes to show that someone's trash can turn into a treasured item for someone else. @novagirl291

  9. This is a tricky one to answer – I loved my sindy toy as i had to wait for years with her on my wishlist before i finally got her but I also loved my etch-a-sketch which was such a classic toy. I'll pick sindy as my fave though as i still have her in the loft somewhere. Twitter handle is @TheBeesleyBuzz
