You cannot move for smart technology nowadays. It is designed to make our lives easier and honestly? It really does. Nearly everything has the capability to be ‘smart’ in this day and age. You can get smartphones, smartwatches, smart TV’s, smart meters and so much more.
I’ve recently watched Alex Brooker’s Home Tech Over and it got me thinking about the ways smart devices make a difference to my life. I use smart devices in most aspects of my life – whether that it is for home use or for work use. He met a family whose home is jam packed full of smart appliances from their fridge and their oven to their underfloor heating and baby monitor – literally everything can be run remotely from out of the house should they so wish.
I couldn’t live without my smartphone. It contains my whole life – pictures of my children, my contacts, my emails, important information. I can use it to access the internet or my email whenever I need to and it is so handy to have on me at all times. When it comes to my Smart TV, it means I can watch whatever I like when I like as I have various different subscriptions that I can log in to thanks to my TV being smart. Smart living is a real thing and almost every household is ruled by smart devices.
Whilst my house isn’t as smart as some of the people shown in the video (for instance I don’t have smart underfloor heating but it is certainly something I would consider!), I would definitely consider picking up more smart devices to aid me in carrying out my day to day life in a stress free manner. Whilst I don’t quite think I am at the point where nearly all my appliances and devices will be smart, I am definitely considering a more ‘smart’ future.
