Clothes Shopping For The Work At Home Mum

Working from home around Jack’s school hours means I have little time for clothes shopping. I can’t be bothered with the whole having to traipse into town thing only to find nothing that I like or having to torture myself by using filthy changing rooms or standing in a queue for hours. My time is extremely precious and I am always looking for ways to shave some time off if I can.

It is all too easy for me to sit and work in my pyjamas but having to take Jack on the school run soon puts paid to that. Add to that the fact that I may have to attend a meeting, a blogging event or a Skype call and as you can imagine, pyjamas just aren’t that practical. With my need for no frills no fuss fashion at my fingertips, I have been checking out the new season’s range from Captain Tortue (see the new season here). The clothes are sold by their Style Consultants from their homes across the whole of the UK and Ireland. The consultants range in ages as does the fashion Captain Tortue provides with items suitable for all age groups. Ladies can even host their own party with a Style consultant so their friends and family can take advantage too.

I don’t know about you but my friends and I love a good get together and a chat, especially with a couple of glasses of wine and different make up and outfits to try on. With me not being able to get out and go clothes shopping that often, this is perfect for me to get to see the new range and pick some items!  Captain Tortue is a unique French fashion company that sells gorgeous women’s and girls’ clothes direct to customers in their own home. They actually have 3 brands sold in the UK and Ireland – Miss Captain, Miss Trend and Little Miss Captain (for children and petite women) and have been established in France since 1993 and UK since 2003.

A clothes party sounds like a lot of fun to me and I am considering hosting one in the near future. With me losing weight, I am in desperate need of some new clothes and this might just be the answer – plus if I host a Style consultant in my home, I get to enjoy some perks too!

As well as considering the possibility of hosting, I’m also really considering becoming a consultant myself. I don’t yet know of one in my area so this could be quite a niche market for me in my village to try out. You know I am a big fan of my side hustles and becoming a Captain Tortue Style consultant is definitely appealing to me. They have no competitors in direct selling and  give training, support and encouragement to help you reach your own goals. You can choose your own hours, working flexibly around your life. Many consultants join with no prior experience as the company provides free training and support. The initial investment is low (£100) and it is possible to earn a full or part-time income depending on your flexibility. Plus you get to completely revamp your own wardrobe.

With the new Summer range having been released recently and fantastic job opportunities with Captain Tortue as an Independent Style consultant, I’m definitely keen to find out more and perhaps even get more involved in the next few months. Perhaps no more manky changing rooms or long queues when clothes shopping for me?
